iMist Bonfire Night Safety Tips

Bonfire night is another exciting time of the year, but there are various accidents each year from the result of fireworks and fires.

It’s important that you keep yourself safe on bonfire night, and hopefully, our tips can ensure you keep your night fun and safe!

  • Fireworks can get up to speeds of around 150mph, which in windy weathers can cause serious harm. Keep fireworks away from bushes and buildings to ensure your safety.
  • When setting off fireworks or starting a bonfire, be sure a responsible adult is in control, and keep well away.
  • Lighting 3 sparklers, held together at once, can burn at the same heat used from a blowtorch when melting metals, so stay sensible, have fun, and once your sparklers have gone out, place them in a bucket of water to ensure they’re completely out.
  • Most importantly, keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby, just in case. Bonfires should never be left unattended and should be extinguished before leaving them.

We hope you enjoy your firework displays tonight, and are safe whilst having fun!
