iMist™ were contracted to install a fire suppression system in this conversion from a hotel to an aparthotel, in West Yorkshire. This aparthotel spans over 6 floors and consists of 12 apartments.
Given the height of the building, high occupancy, increased fire risk, and likely lack of familiarity with the building layout, Building Control recommended the installation of a fire suppression system to enhance safety and reduce risk within the building.
Solution
iMist™ designed and installed a high-pressure water mist system to protect the entire building. The system included 6 zonal monitoring valves, providing effective coverage and allowing for quick identification of any activation within specific zones, in the event of a fire.
iMist™ will carry out annual servicing of the systems to maintain pump warranty and ensure all components are functioning as intended to protect the occupants and the aparthotel for years to come.
