Background
iMist™ were contracted to install a fire suppression system in this newly renovated student accommodation building. The property spans 7 floors and comprises 150 studio flats, designed to accommodate a large number of students.
Given the high occupancy and increased fire risk, Building Control recommended the installation of a fire suppression system to enhance resident safety and reduce risk within the building.
Solution
iMist™ designed and installed a high-pressure water mist system to protect the entire building. The system included 7 zonal monitoring valves, providing effective coverage and allowing for quick identification of any activation within specific zones.
iMist™ will carry out annual servicing of the systems to maintain pump warranty and ensure all components are functioning as intended to protect the students calling this building home for years to come.
